After speaking with President Dewseph Dewey some positive news was received concerning the broken ankle he sustained last November on the 16th.

 

"I broke it the Sunday before Thanksgiving and got the cast on the following Tuesday." The injury was the result of an awkward landing on the ankle during a defensive play by Dewey. "I was going for a D on Anthony but when I jumped I landed on it wrong and it rolled inside." The play ended with Dewey being helped off the court by a few teammates, most of which thought it was just a sprain. "I'm surprised he got hurt that bad. I hope he gets better soon because the team needs him for the spring." said teammate Anthony Karabinos, a handler for Flood.

 

Dewey is a versatile player who plays on both the O-line and D-line. "Flood really takes advantage of his height and reach. You know, whatever." commented frequent O-line linemate Joshua "Scuttle" Matson.

 

Recently, the cast was removed on January 7th and the injured utility player has already started rehab at the Windber Hospital that occurs 3 days a week. In addition to that, Dewey goes to the Sports Center for some of his own rehab. "I go down to the Sportscenter to swim and ride the bike. I also need to get back in shape!" he added with a laugh. "I should be playing in February and then be full-strength in March."

 

The news is definitely a positive note and Flood wishes Dewey a swift recovery and return to Ultimate.
